Fall Festival - Rocked!!!

Well it may have been chilly outside, but we had our "chili" inside to keep us warm!

A great time was had by all at the CVHS Fall Festival this weekend. We had a great turnout and there were so many crockpots of chili we were scrambling for electrical outlets. The harvest desserts ranged from pumpkin cookies, zucchini bread, peach cobblers, apple crisps, and more. I don't recall if there were any leftovers. Everything looked so yummy.

We all got to know each other better, playing several different games, which included an old fashioned "Pumpkin Relay Race". The teens helped the younger kids out by supervising a game of Freeze Tag, and then pulverizing poor baby pumpkins outside.

The littler ones were kept busy making spiders, coloring pictures, and stringing beads.

The highlight of the night, by far, was the Marshmallow Catapult Contest.

Eight contestants took part in our contest and everyone had a blast flinging marshmallows far and wide. The funniest fling was the marshmallow that got devoured by the "marshmallow eating tree".
So, despite bad weather forecasts, the CVHS Fall Festival went off without a hitch. Thanks to all the homeschooling families that came out to join in the fun.

Below are the Marshmallow Catapult Contestants:
